A day at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

Mike and I took a hike at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center last Saturday in anticipation of the fall weather.  The leaves were not changing yet, but the weather was fantastic and the views were impressive.  Along the way we were lucky enough to get within spitting distance of an 8 point buck.

Oh yes, Meaghan wants me to make you aware that I left her behind and she hasn't been out since baby Lauren arrived.... Sorry Meaghan.

Joanna Newsom at the Pabst

The Joanna Newsom concert last Sunday was absolutely amazing and one of the most unique shows that I have been to. At first it was a little weird getting over the ridiculousness of such a petite young lady playing a harp twice her size, but once I got over the giggles, I was totally amazed by the beautiful melodic music.

Yo La Tengo

I was fortunate enough to go see Yo La Tengo at the Discovery World a couple weeks ago. It was quite an amazing venue and was the most intimate concert I have ever been to. Ira addressed the crowd between almost every song and opened the floor for questions. I even got to have one of my requests played - Season of the Shark. Fall studying and writin' papers

Somewhat distracting from the 3rd floor of the library, but it is very peaceful. I'll stop looking outward so that I can continue with my edumacation unabated.
