Milwaukee River

I have got the chance to go fishing a couple of times this past week on the Milwaukee River and fishing has been pretty good. Good, but not as great as the ole Miss back home. Still, I'll take what I can get and it's not like I didn't enjoy the hell out of the fishing up here. Sometimes you even forget there are a million people close by. The first is a picture of Eric and his 16+ inch Smallmouth Bass! Very nice. Here are the rest of them along with some feisty Rock Bass and a realy nice catfish who tried to put a crack in my 4 weight.

2006 Schroeder Golf Open

The Schroeder Open this year was hosted by Pat and Jodi Riniker in New Glarus on Aug. 5, 2006. The weather was nice, but the beer was even better as you can see by the pictures. Somehow the group got split up and the last foursome finished 2 hours after the first group, but we still had a great time harassing the bachelor party that got in between and kicking back more BEER. There were I think 3 eagles on the day, Pat's group (done all himself), Mickey's group, and Kelly's group. For the last one, Kelly drove the green on #18 and I believe that I heard Stephanie drove the green on #9. Looks like the Schroeder crew is getting better and ready for the big time. Here are some of the pictures and here is Kelly putting for an eagle. Oh yeah, Steve (Zielke), Gene, Pat (Schroeder) and Bridget happened to win with a 6 under par. As if that's supposed to impress me... :)

In a New York Minute?

Is Brian really going to up and leave Milwaukee for New York? Come on Bri guy, we all know you would rather be in Milwaukee. Besides, who would we aspire to beat after the grandmaster left town? We all know it ain't gonna be Chris! Or Matt! So, I guess that leaves me. That's right Brian, get the hell on outa here and reign in the new grandmaster! Ha, as if I could rise to the challenge, but I can keep on flapping my lips as long as this is my blog.

On another aside, I really think Big Boy is happy here, how could you be so insensitive to keep moving him around? I feel like I just got to know him. Actually, I don't think I have even gotten a ride in Big Boy. Seriously though, if Brian leaves, I would like to wish him the best of luck wherever he ends up at, it was great hanging out with ya here in Miltown and we all hate to see you go. Whether you agree with Brian leaving or not, scroll down to cast your vote. I think the Milwaukee skyline will win every time.

No Danny, I did not take your Trapper Keeper

The good old days when "No Danny" was as big as Jesus. Errr, I mean the Beatles... Yeah, that's right, the Beatles. Since I've made that bold statement some years ago, people have walked up to me and said "If you were as big as the Beatles, then how come you only sung cover songs and open up for other bands for free?" My only reply is that people truly do not understand the intricacies of being a touring band. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices to keep the fans happy and if that means that we have to struggle, then we struggle. But, it was all worth it and in the end we kept face and kept our noses clean. To those that haven't been backstage with a touring band, that means no drugs. And let me tell you, it was tough to stay clean with all those girls. If you look real close at the pictures, you can see them all huddled up against the stage just trying to get as close as they can to their favorite band.

San Francisco

Has anyone ever noticed how well the letters for San Francisco fit the Rainbow Flag? Hmmm.... That's a little too freaky.

Just wanted to send a huge thanks to Jen, Isabelle, and Rick for being so accomodating to us while we were there, we owe you more than words can say and are very grateful that the trip was very inexpensive.

Unfortunately, my camera only came out while I was being wowed by Napa Valley, Pebble Beach, and nature, so as a result I don't have any pictures of Jen, Isabelle or Rick (Way to drop the ball on that one!!), but Isabelle has some pictures of our visit here. I'll be posting some more pictures from our trip here.
